MICHIGAN HIGH SCHOOL COACHES ASSOCIATION/GATORADE
15/20/25/30/35/40/45 YEAR COACHING AWARD CERTIFICATE
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have distinguished himself/herself with good coaching ethics and promoted good sportsmanship throughout his/her coaching career
  • May use up to 10 years coaching outside of Michigan
  • May use both years as a head coach or assistant
  • May combine sports coached but may not count more than one sport any school year
  • May use years at the varsity, junior varsity, junior high/middle school level
  • May apply for certificate in more than one sport if you qualify for the number of years in each sport
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
  • To receive a 15/20/25/30/35/40/45 year certificate in a specific sport you must have been a coach in that particular sport for 15/20/25/30/35/40/45 years at any level
  • To receive a 15/20/25/30/35/40/45 year certificate for coaching sports in general you must have been coaching at least one sport per year for 15/20/25/30/35/40/45 years at any level
PROCEDURE FOR RECEIVING A CERTIFICATE
  • Complete the application form and mail to (or Fax: (231) 873-5003):
    • Rich Tompkins, MHSCA
    • 9 South Lighthouse Drive
    • Mears, MI 49436
  • Completed certificates will then be sent to the President of your Sports Association for his/her signature
  • Completed certificates will then be presented to you by your sports association at a clinic or banquet or mailed to you by the President or Rich Tompkins. Please be patient, this may take time
